The NYPD released a photo of the suspect wearing a surgical mask below his mouth as he stuck his tattooed arm through the teller’s window to get the cash.

Police identified him as 42-year-old Craig Gernett, who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds with brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his body including on both hands. He has an earring on his left ear.

He is also wanted for three bank robberies on Friday starting at 8:52 a.m. at a TD Bank at 451 Lexington Ave. in Midtown, where he made off with $568, the NYPD said.

At 1:55 p.m., Gernett allegedly hit a Bank of America branch at 106 West 117 St. in Harlem and displayed a note demanding cash, but fled with nothing. At 3:37 p.m. he allegedly went to a nearby Chase branch at 55 West 125 St., displayed a note demanding cash and got $1,000, police said.

On May 11, 2021, police said the same suspect targeted a Chase branch at 24-16 Queens Plaza South, demanded cash and fled with $760.

Police allege that on May 6 Gernett also passed a note to a teller, and pretended to have a gun, at a Citibank branch at 5 Court Square in Queens. He fled with $1,115.
